At La Fabrique du Canal, ceramics are king. And it's not Katya and Elena, the two founders, who will tell you otherwise. The two friends met around a shared passion for terracotta, and since then they've both quit their respective jobs to embark on the crazy adventure of a ceramics studio.
The program includes weekly pottery sessions, vacation courses for children and, above all, introductory courses lasting 1h30 to 2h, where you can learn the basics of throwing or modeling. For children aged 6 and over, an introduction to modeling is regularly offered, to spend 1h30 working with clay in a fun way. Cost: €30 per child. Alternatively, the Fabrique du Canal also offers a two-hour parent-child workshop on Wednesdays and Saturdays to create fun ceramic monsters, accessible to children aged 4 and over for €60 (duo rate).
For older children, from age 12 upwards, teenagers can take a 2.5-hour introductory course in throwing. Expect to pay €60 to learn the basics of this technique and produce several terracotta pieces. The Fabrique du Canal is equipped with a large modeling room and a turning area, so you can discover, master and use techniques like a pro!
During the February 2023 vacations, the Fabrique du Canal is also offering workshops for children, with 1h30 lessons over three days, on February 27, 28 and March 1. How about a creative family outing at the Fabrique du Canal?
