From June 25 to 28, 110 ceramicists will exhibit on Place Saint-Sulpice, ranging from traditional to contemporary, from utilitarian to sculptural, from France and beyond.

The 29th edition of Saint-Sulpice Céramique makes its home on the Place Saint-Sulpice, in Paris, from June 25 to 28, 2026. Over four days, this gathering dedicated to contemporary ceramic creation brings together 110 ceramic artists from France and abroad, with works spanning from practical objects to sculpture, from tradition to the sharpest contemporary forms.

110 ceramicists bridging tradition, contemporary creation and sculptural works

For this new edition, 110 ceramic artists showcase the richness of contemporary creation on Place Saint-Sulpice. Visitors can discover a broad spectrum of approaches, from traditional forms to minimalist proposals, from utilitarian objects to sculptural work.

  • functional pieces, sometimes playful, conceived around everyday use and the gestures of daily life;
  • contemporary sculptures, some of which originate from wood-fired firing;
  • works in raw clay, exploring texture, materiality and restraint;
  • pieces with bright glazes, more decorative or experimental;
  • approaches from France and abroad, notably Japan, Germany and Spain.

This diversity allows us to gauge the breadth of practices tied to the ceramics: throwing, shaping, sculpture, surface work, glaze research, or even the choice of firing. The event thus puts traditional know-how alongside more contemporary expressions, in a format accessible to the general public.

An outdoor exhibition on Saint-Sulpice Square

The setting of Place Saint-Sulpice in Paris’s 6th arrondissement lends the event an urban, open-air feel. Situated in the heart of this Left Bank neighborhood, the stalls let visitors move freely between the ceramicists’ worlds, compare styles, and discuss the pieces on display.

The anticipated atmosphere hinges on a tangible encounter with material: raw clays, polished surfaces, vibrant enamels, minimalist volumes or more expressive forms.

Ceramics is presented there as a full-fledged field of creation, straddling decorative arts, artisanal craft and contemporary sculpture.

Free workshops and a ceramic café complete the Saint-Sulpice Céramique 2026 experience.

These informal sessions give visitors a fresh perspective on the material, a clearer grasp of the ceramic techniques, and a chance to linger in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere—whether you’re already an avid clay enthusiast or simply curious to explore this world.

A Parisian event attended by ceramic enthusiasts

With its 29th edition in 2026, Saint-Sulpice Céramique cements its place among Paris's longstanding showcases dedicated to the craft trades.

The event drew more than 15,000 visitors in 2025, according to organizers, underscoring the strong interest in the fair from collectors, interior-decor professionals, ceramic enthusiasts, and casual visitors alike.

From June 25–28, 2026, Saint-Sulpice Square will be a meeting point to explore contemporary ceramic creation, spot a standout piece, gain a deeper understanding of ceramists’ approaches, or simply take a pause to immerse in earth and craft, in the very heart of Paris.
