L'Antre Ki-oon 2024: Diving into the world of Cthulhu and exceptional encounters

From April 4 to 14, immersive worlds and new encounters in Paris for the 20th anniversary of Antre Ki-oon.

For its 20th anniversary, l'Antre Ki-oon is expanding and enriching its experience with a special program. From April 4 to 14, 2024, in the heart of Paris, manga aficionados are invited to discover a universe where the myth of Cthulhu intertwines with Ki-oon's boundless creativity. This year, the lair unfolds through immersive decors, diversified animations, captivating exhibitions, signing sessions with renowned authors, and a panoply of exclusive goodies, not to mention shows that promise to leave a lasting impression.

One of the highlights of the event will be the exceptional presence of Cyril Coppini and Stéphane Ferrandez, two talented French rakugoka. They will offer the public two unique performances on Saturdays April 6 and 13 at 5pm. These sessions of rakugo, the traditional Japanese art of humorous storytelling, will be a rare opportunity to immerse yourself in the fascinating stories of Akane-banashi. Admission will be free, allowing everyone to escape for the duration of a show into the rich and surprising world of rakugo.

Adding to the excitement is the presence of You Chiba, author of the acclaimed"Kindergarten Wars". To celebrate the release of the first two volumes of her manga on April 4, she will be crossing borders to join the Ki-oon Antre, offering fans an unprecedented chance to meet her. The mangaka is planning signing sessions in an exclusive format: 30 signed drawings per session, on an ex-libris provided by Ki-oon. These sessions will take place on Thursday April 4 and Friday April 5, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and on Sunday April 7, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tickets must be picked up by 12 noon on the day of the event to guarantee a place.

The 2024 edition of L'Antre Ki-oon is set to be an unmissable celebration for fans of manga and Japanese culture. Between discovering humorous rakugo stories and meeting a renowned mangaka, this event promises to leave an indelible mark on the hearts of visitors.
