A few months ago, Bouillon Kids opened its doors to families and children looking for an affordable and fun cultural outing. In the heart of the Ateliers Gaîté shopping center in the Montparnasse district, the Bouillon Paris association has set up its very first art gallery for children and their families.
"The association's vocation is to democratize access to art for everyone, so we wanted to set up cultural spaces in everyday places," explains Jérémy Chausse, the association's co-founder with Thierry Renard. " The idea is to break down the psychological barrier that some families may have to the idea of going to an artistic institution, and to set up in everyday places", explains Jérémy Chausse. So, with the association's volunteers, they organized their first exhibition, "Humaines, humains, quelle trace-nous laisser?" to raise a social issue and broaden their reflection through the prism of art.
Humans, humans, what trace will we leave? The exhibition of the moment at Bouillon Kids
With a selection of works by a dozen artists, the exhibition explores a major social issue. During the visit, we discover the work of Madame, a street-artist who recovers subjects from old science books to set them in her creations, and Kelkin, who works on the theme of the labyrinth. We also like the work of photographer Matthieu Walter, who spontaneously captures people at their windows.
In addition to the exhibition, several areas have been designed as cocoons, so that children can really make the place their own! There's a playroom for quiet games, another with lots of books and large carpets for resting and reading. A large expression wall lets you draw, write and leave a trace of your visit to the exhibition, and creative workshops are also available! Count €25 per child for a 1h30 workshop.
To discover Le Bouillon Kids, charge €5 per person for an admission ticket. It's also possible to organizeyour child's birthday party at Le Bouillon, at a cost of €25 per child present, for private use of the activity room and unlimited access to the exhibition. Finally, the visit ends with a visit to the Bouillon Kids boutique, where you'll find reconditioned toys and games, as well as works by exhibited artists. A great cultural venue to discover with the whole family, in the Montparnasse district!
