La Maison des Histoires: an immersive place to marvel at with the whole family, at Bastille

From July 9, 2025, the Maison des Histoires will open its doors in the Bastille district, allowing the general public to immerse themselves in the imaginary world of children's books from l'école des loisirs.

After its first opening on rue de Sèvres in the 6th arrondissement, now a must for families, the Maison des Histoires has inaugurated its second location in Paris, in the Bastille district. While on the rue de Sèvres, we (re)immersed ourselves in the imaginary world of Claude Ponti's famous chicks, with the terrible Cornebidouille, aboard the Chiens Pirates boat... At Bastille, a brand-new 740 m² immersive exhibition awaits you, inspired by other children's books. Superlapin, le Chien bleu, Loulou, les Trois Brigands... No less than twelve worlds from the famous books of l'école des loisirs will be staged in this play museum.

Discover the Trois Brigands castle, designed as a covered play area, take part in the Fête Pourrie, treat yourself to a home cinema session with your heroes from children's literature, multiply your experiences with the Simon Superlapin characters, climb on the back of the famous Chien Bleu... This time around, areas have been specially designed for toddlers and babies, with a little slide on the back of Pop, the multicolored striped dinosaur!

In addition to theimmersive exhibition, this new Maison des Histoires includes a theater that can accommodate up to 40 spectators for readings and shows (where children can also dress up!). A boutique/bookshop and café are also open to the public, with the possibility of celebrating your child's birthday on site! Cookies, gourmet cakes, lattes, soft drinks (with whipped cream and marshmallows) and other gourmet beverages await your visit.

Admission is €15 per child, €10 per adult, and the Maison des Histoires is open from 9.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m., Wednesday to Sunday (except during school vacations) and every day of the week during school vacations. Please note: access is only possible by booking a ticket online.
