Since 1991, the Science Festival has been a nationwide annual event dedicated to promoting scientific literacy among the general public. This free event invites both children and adults to explore various scientific fields through workshops, lectures, exhibitions, and meetings with researchers. It takes place throughout Paris and the Île-de-France region, at universities, museums, and laboratories.

Leased on October 4, 2021, by the Sorbonne University Foundation, the Zoology Collection located on the Campus Pierre and Marie Curie houses over 15,000 animals and anatomical specimens. This unique space for knowledge and discovery features insects, mammals, mollusks, birds, corals, sponges, and other invertebrates. Inside, visitors can see numerous preserved animals, including an elephant skull and a tapir skeleton.
Originally part of the old Sorbonne Zoology collection, this collection has been located on the Pierre and Marie Curie campus since 1961. Santiago Aragon, a researcher and collection curator, has dedicated his work to exploring the history behind each specimen. Many date back nearly 200 years, with the oldest being a muskrat preserved through taxidermy in 1819.
