The 2025 Science Festival arrives in Yvelines from October 3 to 13, with exciting events planned in the towns of Port-Marly and Louveciennes. This year’s national theme, "Intelligence", sets the tone for a diverse lineup of activities organized by Louv'Science, a leading local organization dedicated to science outreach since 2014.
This free event, which has been running since 1991, gives everyone the chance to discover the world of science and meet today's researchers. In these two charming communes of the Yvelines, located in the loop of the Seine near Saint-Germain-en-Laye, the event takes on a particularly convivial dimension.
On October 3, the inauguration will take place at the Pavillon Corot at 7pm, followed by a lecture on"The intelligence of bees" at 7:30pm. Martin Giurfa, a recognized specialist in bee cognition, will present the surprising abilities of these social insects. An excellent introduction to this edition dedicated to the multiple forms of intelligence.

All these events are free and open to all. Only the "Le bal des Abeilles" show on October 8 requires advance booking by means of a registration form. All other events are free, subject to availability.
This Fête de la Science 2025 continues the tradition of partnership between Port-Marly, Louveciennes and the Louv'Science association, active since 2016 in the organization of this national event. The association, headed by Pierre Facon and made up of top-level scientists, works all year round to develop scientific curiosity among young people.
Emblematic sites such as the Carré des Mousquetaires, the Pavillon Corot and the mediatheque provide the perfect backdrop for these discoveries. For participants from further afield, these Yvelines communes, close to the Château de Versailles and the Parc de Saint-Germain-en-Laye, are well worth a cultural day out.
