Between October 2026 and January 2027, three free sewing workshops in Île-de-France will teach participants the basics of textile repair. Head to Villeneuve-la-Garenne (92), Créteil (94) and Aulnay-sous-Bois (93) to get started in sewing, even with no prior experience.
Launched by Primark, these workshops offer a chance to learn simple techniques to extend the life of your clothes. Participants will, among other things, learn how to sew on a button, fix a seam, patch a fabric, or customize a piece. Lots of small, practical steps that can help you keep a garment you still like.
No sewing machine or advanced needle skills required: the sessions are beginner-friendly and focus on manual stitching. Everyone will also receive a sewing kit and a customizable tote bag, provided for the workshop.
To support the program, the retailer has teamed up with Chaussettes Solidaires, a group dedicated to helping women in difficulty regain employment through sewing training. The aim is twofold: teach useful, everyday skills and promote more responsible textile consumption.
