Les Vedettes de Paris, not to be confused with the Bateaux-Mouches company, is offering Parisians of all ages the chance to mark the occasion: on presentation of proof (passport or ID), you'll be offered a guided cruise on the Seine! Not bad, eh?
As you'd expect, there are a few conditions to qualify. First of all, it's only for the Guided Cruise: A New Look at Paris. Secondly, your birthday must fall on a day when the company is open: no postponements or reservations are possible. There must also be at least three places available on the cruise you wish to embark on. Finally, this free service is only available on your birthday, until 5.45pm. There is a small exception for those born on February 29: on non-leap years, you can take advantage of it on March 1.
Contrary to popular belief, no champagne or snacks are included. Children, on the other hand, can take advantage of this free birthday cruise from the age of 4. Find out more here!
