From the start of the evening, the dance floor at the Ménilmontant fire station comes alive with DJ sets and live bands playing upbeat tunes ranging from French classics to the latest hits. The firefighters themselves often join in this Fête Nationale celebration, adding to the warm and friendly atmosphere. To satisfy both small and large appetites, several stands offer a variety of dishes and refreshing drinks. There's something for everyone to enjoy while they're out enjoying the festivities.

The origins of the  firemen's ball  in Paris trace back to 1937, conceived by Sergent Cournet who opened the doors of the Montmartre fire station to strengthen ties between the firefighters and local communities, while raising funds for the emergency services. Since then, the tradition has endured and grown into a highly anticipated annual event. The firemen's ball at the Menilmontant firehouse welcomes you from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m., on Monday, July 13 at 47, rue Saint-Fargeau.
