Fireworks and popular ball on July 14th 2023 at Les Ulis (91)

July 14th marks the day when the French people stormed the Bastille prison, symbol of the oppression of the Ancien Régime, on July 14th 1789. A year later, the Fête de la Fédération was celebrated as a tribute to this very special day: since then, the date has become that of the Fête Nationale, a public holiday when the streets are decked out in blue, white and red, the colors of the French flag.

So, every year, numerous events celebrate this historic date for the country: fireworks displays, firemen's balls, entertainment, free concerts... In theEssonne department, a great program is already in store for July 13, 2023, whether you're celebrating with family, friends or children!

The Fête Nationale in Les Ulis is one of the best in the department, with awide range of activities, including a poetic lantern-lit procession in the early evening, a Bal Populaire and the traditional fireworks display, making for a wonderful evening of festivities!

On the program Thursday July 13, 2023 in Les Ulis :

• 8pm-1am: grand bal populaire
  The Pampres rugby field is transformed into a dance floor for the Bal Populaire. A DJ will be on hand to set the mood, and there'll be food and drink available to enjoy with friends (don't forget to pick up a lantern before the ball ends!)
  
• 9:45pm: distribution of lanterns and procession from the Esplanade de la mairie.
• 11:30 p.m.: continuation and end of the popular dance until 1 a.m. in the Parc Paul Loridant.
