Fête Nationale 2025: fireworks, ball and picnic on July 13 at Gif sur Yvette (91)

For the Fête Nationale on July 14, which celebrates the historic storming of the Bastille prison in 1789, as well as the Fête de la Fédération of 1790, the whole of France celebrates with fireworks displays across the country, popular dances and great entertainment.

Every summer, July 14th is a not-to-be-missed date for the French, who take advantage of the traditional military parade on the Champs-Elysées, fireworks displays in almost every town and city in France, open-air concerts and balls, and family activities to explain the importance of this holiday to the youngest.

In theEssonne department, the town of Gif-sur-Yvette also organizes its own fireworks display on Sunday, July 13, 2025: head to the park of the Château de Belleville to see it! But before that, don't miss the dancing ball and the Republican picnic, which will set the mood for the evening with a variety of tunes. Whether you're coming with family, friends or loved ones, you're sure to have a great time on July 13, 2025!

The programme for the Fête nationale in Gif-sur-Yvette :

• Republican picnic - from 7.30pm, Belleville Castle Park
  Bring your own tablecloth, basket and (reusable) crockery for a giant picnic. Cloth tablecloths will be loaned by the town, subject to availability.

• Food trucks - from 7:30 p.m., Parc du Château de Belleville
  • Home Sweet Bowls - Poké bowls and Asian specialties
  • 125TH STREET - Burgers and American food
  • Sweet Pleasures - Churros, homemade crepes and Italian ice creams
  • Pizza Par'Tif - Pizzas
  • Hello Churros - Savoury and sweet churros
  • Buvette du Club Giffois de l'Amitié - French fries, sausages, drinks and ice creams.

• Entertainment to set the dance floor alight - Château de Belleville park
  • 8:30pm - The Ecole Normale Supérieure brass band "L'Ernestophone".
  • 9:30 pm and after the fire - Ball with Wanted Revival

• Fireworks to marvel at - Château de Belleville park
  Pop-culture-themed fireworks launch at 11pm.
