The commune ofAlfortville is organizing a big party, and you're all invited... This Sunday, July 13, 2025, celebrate the national holiday in this Val-de-Marne town, and enjoy some great free entertainment for the whole family. Join us in the Parc de l'Île au Cointre for dancing and an exceptional fireworks display.
Located in the heart of the 94 region, the town is bordered by Créteil, Charenton-le-Pont, Choisy-le-Roi and Maisons-Alfort. Maisons-Alfort and Alfortville share a special and unusual history. In the 19th century, Alfortville was just a district of Maisons-Alfort. It was a restaurateur by the name of Charles Perrié who began referring to the area as Alfortville, under the guise of humor. This new identity stuck, and Alfortville officially became a commune in its own right in 1885.
The town is home to many points of interest, including a giant fresco at the Hôtel de Ville, a mosaic by the painter Fernand Léger, an amazing tourist complex called Chinagora... And the Parc de l'Île de Cointre, which hosts the July 14th festivities.
This year, Alfortville is offering musical entertainment, a big ball and fireworks to round off the evening in style. Revisit your classics - you'll be singing and dancing the night away! The ball starts at 9 p.m., and the fireworks from 11 p.m. onwards. All in all, there's plenty of fun to be had on National Day 2025!
