Fête Nationale in Provins (77): fireworks & firemen's ball on July 13, 2023

France's national holiday is celebrated every year on July 14th. This historic date refers in particular to the storming of the Bastille, one of the milestones of the French Revolution. Today, July 14th is marked by traditional celebrations including the famous firemen's balls, the military parade down the Champs-Elysées in Paris and fireworks displays all over the country, including one from the Eiffel Tower.

In the Paris region, many communes take part in the festivities and celebrate the Fête Nationale with events spread over July 13 and 14, 2023. This is an opportunity for local residents to enjoy the celebrations close to home, while others see it as a good excuse to set out to conquer the treasures of theÎle-de-France region. Provins is famous for its extremely well-preserved medieval town, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's a must-see for families, friends and lovers alike. Behind the city's high ramparts, a concentration of monuments awaits you, as well as a fine program of events and shows to take you back in time. Take a stroll around the Tour César, explore the underground passageways, take an enchanted stroll through the rose garden and indulge in the gourmet delights of the restaurants and delicatessens that delight inhabitants and visitors alike. All in all, it's a busy day before the festivities begin on July 14th.

On July 13, 2023, the town of Provins will be hosting the traditional firemen's ball at the barracks. Then it's off to the Stade de Provins to watch the fireworks from the Couvent des Cordelières at 11pm. After the fireworks, it's back to the firemen's ball to keep the party going!
