Christmas 2025 at the Cité du Cinéma: a family screening of The Grinch before the holidays

After Casper, the Grinch is coming to the Cité du Cinéma to celebrate the magic of Christmas! The grumpy creature is celebrating his 25th anniversary this year, giving families the opportunity to rediscover Ron Howard's masterpiece, which has become a holiday classic for young and old alike. See you on Saturday, December 20, 2025, in Seine-Saint-Denis for a festive afternoon, for ages 6 and up.

Far from being as generous as Santa Claus, the Grinch has nevertheless concocted a few surprises for this festive screening, with entertainment and a few small gifts for the best-behaved children. Born in a children's book in the 1950s, the Grinch has become part of the collective imagination thanks to Jim Carrey's unforgettable performance, who created his legend on screen, one of many roles that earned him an honorary César Award in Paris.

This green, hairy, grumpy creature , who sometimes scares young children at first but ends up being endearing with a little patience, reminds children and parents alike that those who don't like Christmas may have their reasons and that the important thing is to be there for your loved ones during the Christmas season—a beautiful lesson in kindness!
