The Thoiry ZooSafari in Yvelines is once again hosting its popular Easter egg hunt on Sunday, April 5, and Monday, April 6, 2026. Located near Paris, it offers one of the most unique Easter experiences for children—set amidst the animals—with hunts tailored to all age groups.
For the record, this Easter egg hunt has been a tradition for nearly 40 years now. It was originally created by the Count and Countess of La Panouse for their own children. As you might guess, this treasure hunt quickly became a favorite among kids and has since become a must-see event for visitors. However, unlike other hunts, this one isn’t free — you’ll need to show a ticket to the zoo to participate!
The Easter Village, set up at the yurt camp, welcomes visitors with a variety of activities centered around eggs, offering a fun way to become an expert on how egg-laying animals reproduce. And the young explorers won’t be the only ones enjoying the festivities — animals will also get special treatments tailored to their dietary needs for the occasion, during guided feedings where visitors can observe them without disturbing them.
In a safe and dedicated area, young children embark on an Easter egg hunt, searching for brightly colored plastic eggs. By finding the right color combinations, they earn a sweet chocolate reward.
A detective adventure in five puzzles, where children are encouraged to explore the park's paths in search of clues to identify the thief of Madame the Hen's golden egg. A tasty chocolate prize awaits the cleverest participants. Booklets are available at the park entrance.
Hidden metallic eggs conceal a variety of prizes up for grabs: chocolate chickens, plush toys, and exclusive VIP experiences.
