Easter 2025: the great Easter egg hunt at Château de Vaux le Vicomte (77)

The Château de Vaux le Vicomte and its famous Easter egg hunt await you on Saturday April 19, Sunday April 20 and Monday April 21, 2025. On the program? Egg hunts for young and old, entertainment for children and a visit to the château's magnificent gardens.

The Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte egg hunt is one of the most popular egg hunts in the Paris region, and one not to be missed every year! Over the Easter weekend, teams from the privately-owned château go to great lengths to entertain the little ones and challenge the grown-ups with thousands of chocolates hidden in the 33-hectare landscaped garden.

This year, the event takes place on Saturday April 19, Sunday April 20 and Monday April 21, 2025, with races running continuously from 10 a.m. onwards. At Vaux-le-Vicomte, a first parchment must be validated to enter the famous egg hunt. And to avoid fights and disappointments, several hunts are organized simultaneously, depending on the age of the participants. There's an area for children aged 1 to 5 in the vegetable garden, and another dedicated to 6-12 year-olds, who can search for their eggs in the forest.

For older children, an egg hunt is also planned for teens over 11: this time, the level is a little harder, with a treasure hunt on the program and a riddle to solve! Come and find the secret of Vatel's mysterious recipe to win the King's gourmet booty. As for the adults, well, they too had their own egg hunt! Those who manage to find thegolden squirrel hidden in the grounds can go home with a special prize... Keep your ears peeled for the sound of a bell each time a new squirrel is hidden.

Competitions for teenagers and adults combine speed, dexterity and skill. For the little ones, it's all about exploration. To avoid disappointment, and emphasize family fun, the château offers chocolates to all participants in these egg hunts.

Finally, throughout the day, visitors can enjoy giant wooden games, creative activities and a "Gardener's Seed" workshop. Children can also have their faces painted free of charge, or enjoy a pony ride in the gardens (at an extra charge).
