In search of the finest chocolates for Easter 2026? This year, Jean-Paul Hévin invites us to discover his world of chocolate through his latest collection, "Dreams and Cocoa Beans." The master chocolatier blends imagination with craftsmanship in his new creations, celebrating rare cocoa beans he tirelessly seeks out from the finest plantations. His goal: craft delicious new recipes while preserving the precious beans."
Renowned master chocolatier and a key figure in French chocolate craftsmanship, Jean-Paul Hévin is celebrated for his elegant and daring creations. For decades, he has elevated cacao by exploring its boundless flavor and aesthetic potential. With this theme, he cleverly takes expressions literally, highlighting the freshness of his finest cocoa through his playful approach.
One of this year's highlights is the Egg of the Day, which celebrates Easter with a delectable calendar. Marking Sunday, April 5th, this egg is crafted from Grand Cru dark chocolate from Cameroon, Hévin-Nkolossang — available in 70% dark or 40% milk. It’s filled with dry fritters and packed with dark and milk chocolate treats. The 580g version is priced at €95, while a smaller 360g egg goes for €65.
Another playful creation that cleverly plays on words, the Pêche du Jour! These two fish are not just pulled from the sea but from a cacao pod, decorated with a cheerful sun and tiny clouds—adding a touch of poetry to the design. Despite the chocolatier’s intention of injecting humor and making a delightful April Fool’s joke, the piece exudes a certain charm. For those on a budget, it’s also the most affordable option in the collection, priced at €29 (110g), available in both dark and milk chocolate.
As for the Broken Egg—which keeps a watchful eye on us—they proudly claim their origins, nestled inside a cacao pod. Available in two versions, they retail at €68 (375g). The Fashion Egg, adorned with beautiful cacao lace decorations, pays tribute to Parisian style and the dreams cherished by Jean-Paul Hévin. Offered exclusively in dark chocolate from Cameroon, it comes in three sizes: 60g (€18), 260g (€54), and 960g (€163) for those with a hearty sweet tooth.
Night owl by nature, what better creature to symbolize dreams than an owl? This Dreamy Owl with moonlit eyes and a starry fur, weighing 125g, is priced at €37. Finally, the festive and mischievous spirit of Easter makes its return, accompanied once again by a charming troop of playful little animals, just like last year!
Leading this lively family are Pascal the Squirrel (113g, €34), accompanied by Pascalou the Bunny and his carrot (45g, €15; 75g, €23; 135g, €35), Pascalito the Chick and his egg (45g, €15; 75g, €23; 135g, €35), and Picpus the Hedgehog, the newest member of the crew, waking up in spring after a cozy nap (130g, €34). And let's not forget the box of praline-filled chocolates of all kinds, some hiding deliciously melting surprises (€64, 420g)!
A delightful collection arriving in early March at Jean-Paul Hévin boutiques in Paris, just in time to celebrate Easter with exceptional chocolates that blend tradition and sensory adventure. Happy Easter 2026 to all the chocolate lovers!
