Paintings become companions on a fantastical stroll through the Jean-Jacques Henner Museum. On Saturday, October 31, 2026, storyteller Laure Urgin will lead a candlelit tour there, offered at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. for Halloween.
The narrative guides visitors as the museum opens for the occasion. The storyteller gives way to frightful tales inspired by the artworks: the walk links the paintings, speech, and candlelight. The event runs for about an hour and is designed for both adults and families with children aged four and up.
The setting is part of the experience. The museum occupies a 19th-century townhouse, the former home and studio of painter Guillaume Dubufe. Its spaces were designed to welcome, to live in and to create. The winter garden and the drawing rooms still bear witness to this history of an artist’s house.
Dedicated to Jean-Jacques Henner, the venue presents works that trace his journey—from his native Alsace to his Parisian career. For this Halloween evening, the storytelling tour invites visitors to explore the collections through a fantastical narrative. Guests are encouraged to come in costume, to step into the mood of this stroll.
Prices: €15 full price, €10 reduced, or €30 for four tickets. Book at the museum’s ticketing page. For information, contact billetterie@henner-moreau.fr. The museum is located at 43 Avenue de Villiers, Paris, 17th arrondissement.
