Day of the Dead 2026 at Jardin d'Acclimatation: Mariachis and an immersion into Mexico

Goodbye gloomy Halloween pumpkins and creaking ghosts, hello to the cempasúchil flowers and the rhythms that make the calaveras dance! From October 3 to November 1, 2026, the Jardin d’Acclimatation turns into a Mexican hacienda to celebrate Dia de los Muertos. A South American escape without leaving Paris? Sí, señor! During the All Saints’ Day holidays, embark on a high-spirited, color-saturated journey full of playful surprises.

Between rides, you'll encounter catrinas, calaveras, mariachis, dancers, and fire artists who warm up the fall. Even some of the park's attractions are decked out in the flamboyant colors of the Mexican holiday. With 42 rides, 450 animals and 18 hectares of walking paths, there's no room for autumn gloom! Here, the Day of the Dead is above all a celebration of life: visitors stroll, dance, marvel and let themselves be carried away by the frighteningly joyful atmosphere.

• The Enchanted River
  The Enchanted River becomes the Bewitched River: take a seat aboard the ghost boats and set off on an adventure on the water, encountering calaveras (grimacing skeletons) and other cheerful mummies.

  Enter the Mayan maze and try to find your way out among the deceptive mirrors...

Shows and entertainment

• Arrieras Somos
  The eight musicians of this all-female mariachi band will lead you through the alleys of the Garden and onto the main stage with tunes straight from Mexico.
  
  • Wednesdays and weekends, October 4 to 17, at 2:00 p.m., 3:30 p.m., and 5:00 p.m., then every day from October 18 to November 2 (school holidays) at 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

• Magic show
  The Dragonfly Company is back with an original creation, designed for the Garden and inspired by Dia de los Muertos.
  
  • Every day during the school holidays at 2pm and 4pm at the Théâtre Rouge (duration 30 min)

Our opinion: This show seems to be aimed more at teenagers, young adults and older children than at younger children. The plot and some of the magic tricks may be less accessible to younger children, and the show may seem a little long for them.

• Baile de Fuego, the Grand Finale
  Every evening, thirty minutes before the park closes, the Baile de Fuego brings together all the artists of the day—Catrinas, dancers, mariachis, and other performers—for a final show on the Main Stage.
