Heritage Days 2025 at Saint Elisabeth de Hungrie Church in Paris, program

For the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days), we're off to discover the capital's places of worship. Many churches open their doors to the public and organize guided tours. A case in point is Sainte-Elisabeth-de-Hongrie in the 3rd arrondissement, the conventual church of the Order of Malta, for an exceptional visit on September 20, 2025.

This open house weekend gives us the opportunity to discover this magnificent building, erected as early as 1628! Queen Marie de Médicis laid the foundation stone for this building, which has welcomed illustrious representatives of the nobility: the church bell is sponsored by the Duc d'Angoulême, Grand Prior of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, and Charlotte de Montmorency.
