Every year, the Heritage Days bring together both the curious and dedicated enthusiasts eager to discover cultural gems and historical masterpieces. This must-attend event, celebrated across Europe, offers a weekend dedicated to exploring our heritage from a fresh perspective. Each edition sees museums, monuments, châteaux, and other sites opening their doors to normally inaccessible spaces. It’s a rich program of visits, often free, along with unusual activities and unique discoveries waiting for visitors during this unmissable cultural event. And you can be sure that Paris and the entire Île-de-France are on the schedule! The next event: the weekend of September 16 and 17, 2023.
Right in the heart of the capital, Le Jeu de Paume is stepping into the spotlight! Nestled within the famous Tuileries Garden, this historic building, constructed in 1861 during Napoleon III's rule, originally housed real tennis courts, a sport considered to be the precursor of modern tennis. Today, since 2004, it has transformed into a center for contemporary art dedicated to images and photography. Throughout the year, visitors can enjoy an impressive schedule of exhibitions. So, what can we expect for the Heritage Days?
