For this year's Journées du Patrimoine, the magic of Paris is more than ever ... The Ateliers Berthier, veritable jewels of Parisian cultural heritage, join the party on Saturday, September 20, 2025! Listed as a Monument Historique since 1990, they were built by Charles Garnier and Gustave Eiffel to house the Paris Opera's scenery workshops. Today, the Ateliers Berthier play a dual role: preserving the know-how of set manufacturing and renovation, and housing a priceless treasure trove. This historic showcase contains no fewer than 60,000 pieces of sumptuous costumes and accessories! Each piece bears witness to an era, a style, that embellished the legendary performances of artists on the stages of the Palais Garnier andOpéra Bastille.
