The Journées du Patrimoine is one of the highlights of September in Paris and the Île-de-France region. During this exceptional weekend of September 19–20, 2026, you’ll have the chance to explore the hidden treasures of Parisian hospitals. For the 43rd edition of Heritage Days, Hôpital Broca is opening its doors and coming into view for you. The health facility, located in the 13th arrondissement, stands on the former site of the Cordelières convent, whose ruins remain to this day. Here is the program awaiting you:

Guided tour of the Broca hospital garden and the ruins of the Cordelières Convent led by Françoise Blon, a member of the Croulebarbe neighborhood council in the 13th arrondissement.

Object memory writing workshop (and solidarity flea market)
A solidarity flea market organized by VMEH and the Culture and Animation team to support an initiative for hospitalized patients, followed by a writing workshop "Memory of Objects" at 11 a.m., using items from the flea market selected by patients and visitors.
