Heritage Days 2023: exceptional opening of the Hôtel Pereire - Del Duca Foundation

A little dive into Parisian heritage? That's what the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days ) are offering us over the weekend. On Saturday, September 16, 2023, we're heading for the Hôtel Pereire, now home to the Fondation Del Duca, for a trip back in time.

To enter theHôtel Pereire is to discover a world marked by the past. This private mansion, a witness to France's economic and cultural history, offers an exceptional tour of its rich past. From the creation of Parc Monceau by the Pereire brothers, to the philanthropic history of the Simone and Cino Del Duca Foundation, every nook and cranny of this place tells a page of Parisian heritage.

• Emile and Isaac Pereire : these visionaries shaped the French economy in the 19th century. Heads of iconic companies such as Compagnie du Chemin de Fer de Paris à Saint-Germain and Crédit Mobilier, they also made a name for themselves in real estate, creating Parc Monceau.
  
• Hôtel Emile Pereire : Built between 1879 and 1881, this residence with its elegant facades is an ode to classical architecture. Its architecture, designed by William Bouwens van der Boijen, is a true architectural treasure.
  
• Various occupants : from the post-Libération Direction de la Sidérurgie to Charbonnages de France, this hotel has seen many occupants before becoming the headquarters of the Fondation Simone et Cino Del Duca.
