Heritage Days 2023: tours, exhibition and events at the AP-HP Museum (94)

The AP-HP Museum, located in Val-de-Marne, is taking part in the new Heritage Days on Saturday and Sunday, September 16 and 17, 2023. What's on the program? Guided tours of the hospital and the exhibition of the day, plus family activities.

The Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days) return this year on Saturday and Sunday, September 16 and 17, 2023, for a new, 40th edition focusing on the themes of"Living Heritage" and"Sports Heritage".

As in previous years, this major cultural event provides an opportunity to push open, free of charge, the doors of numerous museums and monuments, major institutions, castles, churches and cultural centers, as well as unusual, hidden or little-known places.

Once again this year, a number of museums, hospitals and medical institutions are taking part in the Journées du Patrimoine, including the Musée de Moulages, nestled in the Hôpital Saint-Louis, and the Musée de l'AP-HP in the 94 district of Paris.

Located in Kremlin-Bicêtre, Val-de-Marne, the Musée de l'AP-HP, Assistance Publique des Hôpitaux de Paris, opened its doors in 1934. Today, it enjoys " Musée de France " status. It is also under the dual supervision of the Assistance Publique - Hôpitaux de Paris and the Ministry of Culture. Steeped in history, 13,000 works and objects, representative of hospital life from the Middle Ages to the present day, form part of this fascinating museum's collections, some of which are on view to visitors.
