The House of Protestantism will, exceptionally, open its doors to the public on 19 and 20 September 2026 for Heritage Days.

Get ready for another weekend of discoveries and strolls: the Heritage Days return to Paris and in Île-de-France on 19 and 20 September 2026. Each year, this major national event lets us explore fascinating sites, hidden gems tucked away in small villages, and the capital’s must-see institutions. Heritage Days is the chance to rediscover the Île-de-France region and to savour its rich historical and cultural heritage!

So what’s on offer this special weekend? You can visit a museum, a ministry, or the backstage of a renowned venue... Or you can go off the beaten path, exploring a place usually closed to the public...

On September 19 and 20, the Maison du Protestantisme will open its doors to curious visitors for a rare weekend. Housed in a grand townhouse in the 9th arrondissement, it serves as the administrative headquarters for France’s major Protestant institutions. Blending architecture, history and culture, a visit to this site promises to be fascinating!

Heritage Days at the House of Protestantism in Paris:

  • Visit to the House of Protestantism

    Usually closed to the public, this early 19th-century townhouse will open its doors for the first time for European Heritage Days. Self-guided tours, access to the drawing rooms and the garden.

  • Concert by the choir and the Poseidon Ensemble

    Saturday, September 19 at 11:00 a.m.: A concert at the House of Protestantism by the choir and the Poséidon Ensemble, conducted by Arnaud Condé, followed by a convivial drink for everyone.

  • Lecture by Jean Baubérot, historian of secularism

    Sunday the 20th at 2:00 p.m.: A conference at the Maison du Protestantisme by Jean Baubérot, historian of secularism, on the topic: "The 1905 law separating church and state in the face of 21st-century challenges"
