This lively and often free program attracts enthusiasts and the curious alike during this exceptional weekend!

This time we meet in Seine-et-Marne and more precisely in Bourron-Marlotte, on the edge of the Fontainebleau forest. This remarkable village reveals lush green landscapes, a rich medieval heritage, and a fascinating history that goes back to prehistoric times. Moreover, Bourron-Marlotte has long captured the hearts of artists in the 19th century, including famous impressionist painters as well as numerous writers, musicians and filmmakers. Saint-Sévère Church
Guided tour of the Saint-Sévère Church in Bourron-Marlotte
### Come discover a very ancient church in the Gâtinais with its funerary tomb slabs and its Romantic German organ.
Exceptionally for the European Heritage Days, the Bourron-Marlotte church, one of the oldest churches in the Gâtinais (11th century), opens its doors.
Located right next to Bourron Castle, the church was served by “learned” priests: the vicar Vansleb, and the priests Oudin and Pougeois.
The transept, part of the nave and the choir are listed as historic monuments. Visitors will be able to discover the rare funerary tomb slabs, the tombstones, the stained glass and the statues of Saint-Avoye and Saint-Sévère (patroness and patron of the parish), not forgetting other statues (Saint-Fiacre, etc.).
They will also be able to admire the new and exceptional organ built and installed in 2012 by organ maker Yves Fossaert, in the German Romantic style.
Besides an enamelled explanatory plaque on the exterior, explanatory panels, a booklet recounting the history of the place, and staff on hand will be able to provide the information and details you expect.

Bourron-Marlotte Town Hall and Museum
Tour of the City Hall–Museum
### Come and discover the works housed by this town hall, which preserves over 500 pieces by lesser-known 19th-century masters.
The Bourron-Marlotte town hall museum is decorated by a Paris-based artist who lived in the commune from around 1906 to 1922, Charles Moreau-Vauthier. A pupil of Gérôme, he abandoned Salon painting relatively early but remained a superb organizer. Rallying his Parisian friends and others from the Fontainebleau region, he managed to assemble about 70 works to open in 1907 the “Petit Musée” at the Town Hall. Donations continued to feed this small museum, which today houses more than 500 diverse works, some of which are listed.

The Monier House

As part of the European Heritage Days, join the Quatuor Dahlia for an extraordinary 21-kilometer bike tour that blends wild nature with authentic heritage. Travel by two wheels through Recloses, Grez-sur-Loing, and La Genevraye, where several concerts await.
