European Heritage Days 2019 at Paris Louis Vuitton Foundation

This year on European Heritage Days held on Saturday September 21 and Sunday September 22, 2019, Louis Vuitton Foundation opens its doors for free. This is the perfect occasion to discover the building designed by Franck Gehry and its collections.

On Saturday September 21 and Sunday 22, 2019, on the occasion of the 36th European Heritage Days, Louis Vuitton Foundation opens its doors to the public, for free and for tours of the building.

For the weekend, the Ministry of Culture does everything to make children find art interesting. Families can discover or rediscover and in free access the singular building created by Franck Gehry also called “the vessel of the Parc de Boulogne” and the collection of the Louis Vuitton Foundation paying tribute to modern art.

Free tour of the building - Saturday September 21 and Sunday 22 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Come and discover the story of the Louis Vuitton Foundation through models, photographs, movies, sketches, engravings telling you all about the conception process of the Foundation. Also discover Olafur Eliasson's work and the unobstructed views from the Foundation terraces.
Micro-tours about the architecture - Saturday September 21 and Sunday 22, from 1 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Every 30 minutes, the cultural staff provide micro-tours for about 30 minutes to discover the architecture of the Louis Vuitton Foundation: the story and the creation methods, the materials and the ordered works... to experience on your own or with friends.
"Surprising building" commented tour - Saturday September 21 and Sunday 22, from 11:30 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Suiting rhymes, with your familly, you'll follow the adventures of a little falcon flying over the Foundation looking for surprising secrets of the building. All along the story, meet with him the elements of nature inhabiting the place: wind, seeds, sun, water, and break all the mysteries of this enchanted architecture.
"Budding architects" family tour - Saturday September 21 and Sunday 22 from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Children and parents are invited to become budding architects with this tour awakening the senses! Starting with an exploration of the Foundation, experience the architecture with games and sketches with cultural supervisors. Balance, espace, forces, tensions, colors, transparency are as many notions approached enabling you to understand all the secrets of architect Frank Gehry.
