A violent hailstorm hit the capital around 4pm, with impressive images of hailstones up to 4 centimeters in size, and some damage, as some streets were flooded, with a direct impact on some metro stations, such as lines 9, 3 and 6, still closed at 6pm.
Victor Hugo station, on line 2, has already reopened. During floods, torrents of water pour out of metro stations and take several hours to evacuate. In the capital, temperatures plummeted with the storm, dropping by six degrees in just a few minutes. The Ile-de-France region remains under yellow alert, and further rain may fall in the evening.
