Lockdown in Paris and Île-de-France: what is allowed beyond 10km?

Paris and Île-de-France are experiencing another lockdown. From now on, outings beyond 10km from one’s home are subject to derogation. What can you do, then? Is it allowed to collect an order beyond this limit? Keep reading to find out more.

Paris and the entire Île-de-France area are back in lockdown since March 20, 2021, and are experiencing e new and hybrid lockdown this time. From now on, all day long, trips beyond a 10km-perimeter must be justified with the famous derogatory trip certificate. So, what are the reasons allowing you to exceed this limit?

You can go farther than 10km for purchase. It also includes click & collect, namely online orders to get on site. Careful though: these trips must remain within the department of residence. As for those living at the border of their department (i.e in cities included within the inner suburbs of Paris), trips beyond the latter are allowed within a 30-km limit.

According to the same criteria, it is allowed to go drop and pick your children at school, go to a cultural facility (libraries and multimedia libraries), as well as in places of worship, and to complete administrative or legal approaches that cannot be completed remotely.

As for trips without distance limit, even beyond your department, they are allowed on the following grounds: professional activity, teaching and training, general interest mission / Health (consultation and care) / Pressing family matter, vulnerable people or people in precarious situation or child care (also including weddings, baptisms, and funerals) / disabled people (caretaker included) / legal or administrative summon / moving and transit to railway stations and airports.
