Don't miss these final deadlines for declaring your income! Departments numbered 20 to 54 have until 11:59 p.m. on June 1 to finalize their tax returns. Those numbered 55 and over (including Île-de-France) still have until June 8 to complete their paperwork, before incurring a surcharge.
This year, property owners must also take a few extra steps to declare their real estate to the tax authorities. This declaration concerns 34 million property owners in France. As of June 1, the usury rate for home loans has been raised to 4.68% for fixed-rate loans of 20 years or more. The usury rate " corresponds to the maximum legal interest rate that credit institutions are authorized to charge when granting a loan ", explains the Banque de France website.
