The 2025-2026 Paris transport reimbursement campaign opens on Thursday, September 4, 2025. Young Parisians living in the capital can benefit from 100% reimbursement of their Navigo Imagine R pass and Vélib' season ticket. The City of Paris is renewing its full transport reimbursement scheme for this new school year, enabling young Parisians to benefit from completely free travel in the Île-de-France region.
This measure, which has met with great success since its introduction, is aimed exclusively at young people living in Paris and holding a valid Navigo Imagine R pass or Vélib' subscription. The 100% refund is paid in a single instalment directly into the payer's bank account, subject to submission of a complete file within approximately 2 months.
The process is carried out exclusively online via the paris.fr website, and requires a minimum of 2 weeks after the first use of the pass. This period allows Île-de-France Mobilités and Vélib' to transmit the subscription data to the City of Paris.
To submit your request, please bring your subscription contract and a bank statement (RIB) bearing the same name as the package payer. The information entered must correspond strictly to that in the contract, even if an error was made at the time of the initial purchase. Proof of address may be requested when processing the application.
The 2025-2026 campaign will open on Thursday, September 4, 2025 and close on June 30, 2026. No applications will be processed by post or counter, as the procedure is entirely paperless.
This transport reimbursement is exclusively for young Parisians living in the capital. In the case of separated parents, the address of the parent living in Paris must appear on the contract. Public or private schools are not excluded.
Refunds are made to the contract payer, who must be over 18. If the under-age holder appears as the payer on the contract, this information must be changed withÎle-de-France Mobilités before submitting the request.
Families in receipt of school grants are also entitled to reimbursement. In this case, the City of Paris reimburses the amount actually paid, after deduction of the grant awarded.
This initiative is in line with the capital's sustainable mobility policy, enabling young Parisians to travel freely while easing the burden on family budgets. With free transport for all young people living in Paris, the city confirms its commitment to accessibility and equal opportunities.
The success of this scheme testifies to the importance attached by the Paris municipality to young people's mobility, facilitating their travel to schools, cultural and sporting activities, while encouraging the use of public transport and self-service bicycles in the capital.
