Planning a trip to Paris soon? To visit the city, there's nothing better than taking the metro or the bus. Yes, but with which ticket?

A single transport ticket can take you a long way in Paris! But if you are staying in the capital for several days, it may be more advantageous to purchase a Navigo pass... Here is an overview of the different offers available for traveling on the public transport network in Paris and the Île-de-France region.

Long weekends, week-long vacations, occasional visits... Depending on the length of your stay and your plans, you can save money on travel by purchasing certainNavigo passes. Bus, tram, metro, RER: there are many options for getting around, but these trips can quickly add to your vacation expenses.

Currently, the basic ticket for travel on the RATP network costs €2.10. It is ideal for people who rarely come to Paris or who make few trips during the day. Are you in a hurry and didn't have time to buy your tickets before getting on the bus? You can obtain a valid ticket by sending an SMS to 93100: simply text "Bus" and your line number (for example: Bus147 or Bus19). The price of this ticket (€2.50) will be added directly to your phone bill.

If you plan to make more than four trips in a day and don't want to be bothered with lots of small tickets, the Liberté+ pass is for you. This pass allows you to travel freely: validate it for each trip and pay for all your journeys the following month. Please note: daily fares are capped at €8.45.

Want to enjoy Paris and its region during a short stay? Take a look at the Paris Visite pass. This card allows you unlimited travel in zones 1 to 3, or 1 to 5, for 1 to 5 consecutive days. Prices vary depending on the length of your stay, ranging from €13.55 (zones 1 to 3, one day) to €74.30 (zones 1 to 5, five days).

Please note that young people under 26, people over 60, and social assistance recipients are eligible for reduced fares on RATP transportation. Details of these offers are available on the transportation company's website.

Finally, if you are in Paris or its suburbs on a very regular basis, the Weekly, Monthly, and Annual passes are for you.
