Increase in the price of the Pass Navigo in Île-de-France: Reasons Explained

Among the reasons for this increase are the financing requirements of Île-de-France Mobilités in this particular year. To guarantee exceptional service during the Olympic Games and the opening of new metro lines, the transport authority is facing significant costs.

• The opening of several new lines: In 2024, several line extensions, including metro lines 11 and 14 and RER E, will enter service. This additional service means higher costs for the Region, and therefore for users. Regional President Valérie Pécresse estimates the funding requirement for the coming year at 800 million euros.
