Line 6 of the Paris metro opened in 1909. Designed in a semicircle, like line 2, it links the Charles de Gaulle - Etoile and Nation termini, passing through the south of the capital. It is 13.6km long and serves 28 stops. A particular feature of line 6 of the Paris metro is that a large part of its route is aerial: 45% of its length, or 6.1km, is therefore outdoors, giving us a fine view of the capital, including some of its great monuments and the landscape along the banks of the Seine.

Located entirely within Paris, line 6 of the Paris metro runs mainly through the 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th arrondissements. There are many points of interest along the way, including Trocadéro, which opens onto the famous esplanade from which you can admire the Eiffel Tower, Bir-Hakeim station with its famous bridge leading to the symbolic Iron Lady, Place de l'Etoile, home to theArc de Triomphe, and Denfert-Rochereau, close to the Paris Catacombs. Line 6 of the Paris metroalso has several connections with other lines. It connects with lines 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13 and 14, as well as RER lines A and C. Line 6 also takes you to Gare Montparnasse and Gare Paris Bercy.
