Digital terrestrial television (DTT) is about to change. As of June 6, 2025, the organization of DTT channels will change. France 4 on channel 4, LCP on channel 8, Gulli on channel 12... Here is the new channel numbering effective this Friday, June 6, 2025.

Do you own a TV and are you used to watching it? Then get ready for a major change! As of June 6, 2025, a new channel numbering system will come into force. This decision, adopted on January 9 by Arcom (the French regulatory authority for audiovisual and digital communication)"comes in the wake of the imminent arrival of the new channels - NOVO19 and T18 - authorized last December 11, and Canal+'s decision to stop broadcasting on DTT", says the public service website.

With the arrival of NOVO19 and T18, the organization of DTT channels will change. While some channels, such as TF1, France 2, M6, Arte and RMC Story, will retain their current positions, others will be allocated new channels. Such is the case of France 4. Previously found on channel 14, France 4 will move to channel 4 (in place of Canal+) from June 6. The France Télévisions channel will be positioned between France 3 and France 5, as a logical follow-up. For its part, the Chaîne Parlementaire (LCP) leaves channel 13 and moves to channel 8, while Gulli moves from channel 18 to channel 12.

The all-news channels will also be affected by this change. BFMTV will move to channel 13, CNews to channel 14, LCI to channel 15 and Franceinfo to channel 16.

Two new channels are also preparing to land on DTT: T18 (CMI group) on channel 18 (from June 6), and NOVO19, from the Ouest-France group, on channel 19 (launch scheduled for September 1, 2025).

Due to this new channel numbering and the arrival of T18 and NOVO19, please note that a temporary blackout is scheduled for the night of Thursday June 5 to Friday June 6, around 1am. This should only last a few minutes. Further information: this change and update will take place automatically. However, we advise you to restart your TV or set-top box on June 6.
