Storm Benjamin: 3 Transilien lines suspended, details of disruptions

Due to Storm Benjamin and the yellow alert for high winds issued in Île-de-France on Thursday, October 23, 2025, disruptions are expected on at least three Transilien lines and one RER line. Here are more details.

On October 23, 2025, the first storm of the fall will cross almost all of France. Named "Benjamin," this low-pressure system is expected to bring very high waves and strong winds. As a result,Météo France has placed 19 departments across France on orange alert for high winds, waves and flooding, and heavy rain and flooding. 

The Île-de-France region is also affected by this storm. The entire Île-de-France region is under a yellow alert for high winds. Storm Benjamin is set to hit France on Thursday, October 23, 2025, with gusts of up to 140 km/h in some areas. In Paris and Île-de-France, placed on yellow-orange alert by Météo France, the eight departments of the Paris region are facing severe weather conditions, with gusts expected to reach between 85 and 100 km/h. Due to the yellow alert issued in Île-de-France and the expected gusts of wind, Transilien SNCF has announced disruptions on several lines of the network. Specifically, three Transilien lines will be suspended on October 23, "for at least part of the day," according to the announcement. These are lines H, P, and V.

Specifically, on line H, service is suspended between Montsoult Maffliers and Luzarches and between Creil and Persan Beaumont all day. Line V will be suspended on Thursday, October 23, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Finally, train service on line P will be suspended between Trilport and La Ferté Milon and between Tournan and Coulommiers from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

In addition, Transilien SNCF indicates that Storm Benjamin may disrupt other train services in the region, such as the Transilien K line and the RER C. Therefore, Transilien SNCF advises users to postpone their journeys where possible.

Other lines affected by disruptions

  • RER C: service suspended between Ermont-Eaubonne and Pontoise until 11:45 a.m. and disrupted between Ermont-Eaubonne and Massy-Palaiseau due to a tree on the tracks at St-Ouen L'Aumône Liesse

  • Line J: Slow traffic between Pontoise and Gisors due to weather conditions (speed restrictions on trains between Pontoise and Gisors).

  • Line K: service disrupted along the entire line due to bad weather

  • Line L: service disrupted between Versailles Rive Droite and Paris Saint-Lazare and between St-Nom-la-Bretèche and Paris Saint-Lazare due to an incident affecting the track in the St-Cloud area

  • Line N: Disrupted service along the entire line due to weather conditions

  • Line U: service suspended from La Verrière to La Défense until 1 p.m. and slowed down on the rest of the line due to Storm Benjamin
