The challenging week continues for commuters across Île-de-France. This Thursday morning, both the RER A and the RER C are experiencing service disruptions along several sections in Seine-et-Marne and Essonne. On Line A of the RER, train traffic is halted between Noisy-le-Grand – Mont d'Est and Noisiel in the direction of Marne-la-Vallée - Chessy. The disruption is caused by a stalled train at Noisy-Champs. The SNCF expects service to resume around 8:30 a.m. This section of the line was already disrupted last Tuesday following a serious incident involving a person, highlighting how vulnerable this heavily used stretch of the line can be.
On the RER C line, no trains are currently running between Massy-Palaiseau and Pont-de-Rungis due to a technical issue with a train in the Igny area. The railway company reports that the train experienced an electrical problem and had to stop near Massy-Verrières. The driver carried out safety checks and summoned assistance to tow the train with another locomotive. As a result, the section around Massy-Palaiseau is completely shut down. Service is expected to resume around 8:35 a.m.
Problems don’t end there for the Île-de-France network. The RER E line is also experiencing disruptions along its entire route due to a train breakdown at Neuilly-Porte-Maillot. Commuters are advised to be patient and expect longer travel times.
Regarding the Transilien network, train service is disrupted across all Line N and Line U trains after a signaling failure in Trappes, Yvelines. These technical issues are causing widespread delays, making travel particularly difficult for commuters this morning.
