If you usually cross Paris from north to south via the Line 13, you’ll need to plan ahead. A local labor action will disrupt traffic this Friday, April 24, 2026. The RATP warns that disruptions will affect the entire line and will last all day, with two trains out of three in service.

On a line that’s already notoriously crowded, even a small hiccup can turn a routine journey into a real challenge. The final service level (i.e., the actual number of metro trains running) was announced this Thursday at 5 p.m., and while it’s shaping up to be tough for riders, the forecasts could have been worse. If you’re a regular on this line and you need to get home or to work, consider remote work if possible, or surface alternatives like the bus or biking as options.
Note that the buses serving part of Line 13—and especially the Line 14—are likely to be crowded with stranded travelers during this short-term strike. Even though a minimal service will run during peak hours, platform queues could become uncomfortable if crowds surge, with a risk of delays as trains are held back to manage flow.
