The May 1, is the Labor Day, the international workers’ day, a public holiday in many countries celebrated with parades and protests that bring unions and citizens together. In Paris, an inter-union demonstration is organized each year through the streets of the capital.

The May Day demonstration typically triggers traffic restrictions and some stations may be closed. Alongside this movement, the RATP works calendar, the Paris public transport network, can also be the source of disruptions whether on the metro lines, the RER, the Transilien or even the tram. RER A line

• RER A: La Varenne Chenne. <-> Boissy-St-Léger, April 17-30, starting at 9:45 PM:

  Train services will be suspended between La Varenne Chennevières and Boissy-Saint-Léger.

• RER B: Châtelet <-> CDG2 Airport / Mitry-Claye | Service from 01/05 to 28/05:
  Period: Weeknights starting from 10:45 PM.
  Dates: From Monday, January 5th to Thursday, May 28th, excluding February 5th, April 6th, and May 1st, 8th, 14th, 15th, and 25th, 2026.
