To accommodate the arrival of the new MF19 trains, and the planned automation of line 13, fresh disruptions are announced on this famous Paris metro line. As part of these modernization works, three stations north of Paris will close in the autumn. Here are the details.

In the months and years ahead, users of Paris’s Line 13 will see their daily routine change. By 2027, the new MF19 metro is expected to be in service on this famous line of the RATP. Described as "more modern," the new-generation, steel-metro is slated to offer passengers greater comfort and safety. But that’s not all, as Line 13 is set to be fully automated by 2035.

But to carry out these upgrades, new works are announced on the Line 13 of the metro in the coming weeks. Specifically, three stations on Line 13 will be closed this fall. Located north of Paris, these are the Porte de Saint-Ouen, Porte de Clichy and Mairie de Saint-Ouen stations. The closures will be staggered from September 24 to November 26, 2026.

Line 13: Three stations to close in fall 2026

The first project to be affected is the Porte de Saint-Ouen station, which will be closed all day from September 24 to 27, 2026 inclusive. Trains will not stop there during these three consecutive days. To help travelers, the RATP says bus lines 21, 54, 137, 237 and 274 will have increased service.

The Porte de Clichy station will, for its part, be closed all day from October 29 to November 1, 2026 inclusive, and bus line 54 will be reinforced.

Trains will not stop at the Mairie de Saint-Ouen station from 26 to 29 November 2026 inclusive, and this will apply all day long. During these works, bus lines 21, 54, 137, 237 and 274 will be strengthened, according to the RATP.

Additionally, residents are reminded that the Line 13 will be completely closed on certain Sundays through December 13, 2026.
