As Le Parisien and Radio France previously reported, the organizers of Rock en Seine have confirmed that the edition scheduled for late August 2027 has been canceled. The reason is major construction work near the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud, particularly near the Saint-Cloud Bridge and the A13 tunnel.
"For more than 20 years, we’ve brought the summer to a spectacular close with you and the power of music. It’s become our ritual, an annual date we look forward to with great anticipation. Unfortunately, for this next edition, we are facing numerous unprecedented constraints beyond our control that prevent us from organizing the festival under the necessary conditions. These include extensive development work planned around the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud, which will make access to the festival site extremely difficult and compromise the welcome you deserve," the organizers explain on social media.
"The Saint-Cloud National Estate is about to undergo another period of transformation, with several major infrastructure projects nearby," reads the official website of this major historic park in Hauts-de-Seine. Work on the Musée départemental du Grand Siècle, the A13 and the arrival of Line 15 is also planned, "gradually changing the estate’s surroundings and its visitors’ habits."
The organizers of Rock en Seine say they explored every possible option. "But none of them allows us to guarantee an edition that lives up to our ambitions—and, above all, your expectations," they said. As a result, Rock en Seine will take a break in 2027 "so we can come back together in 2028." The organizers have also announced the dates for the 2028 edition: August 23–27.
However, the organizers say they are considering the possibility of offering, in 2027, “a different event to keep the spirit of Rock en Seine alive together.” So all is not yet lost for fans of the Paris festival.
Every year at the end of August, Rock en Seine draws thousands of live music fans to the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud. The latest edition of Rock en Seine, held from August 26 to 30, 2026, brought together 175,000 people over five consecutive days. Rock made a particularly strong comeback, with standout sets by The Cure, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Amyl & The Sniffers, Turnstile, Deftones, Franz Ferdinand, Anna Von Hausswolff, Interpol and Landmvrks.
