Every year, June 14 is dedicated to blood drives. Once again this year, the EFS is organizing blood drives across the capital, in national monuments, to do a good deed in good conditions, with beautiful views! Throughout the month of June, you're invited to come and give blood, to help consolidate stocks, which are in sharp decline on the eve of summer.
Courageous donors are expected at ten locations around the capital, some of them very unusual for a blood donation! Panthéon, Parc des Princes or Salon de la Pâtisserie, the choice is yours! "The idea is to attract new donors, and to thank regulars, by offering them a unique experience, thanks to our partnership with the Réunion des Musées nationaux," explains EFS.
Surprises are also on offer, such as free tours after the donation, to reward you for your action. As a reminder, you can donate if you weigh at least 50kg, are between 18 and 70 years old and meet a number of conditions. Werecommend that you register to ensure that you can take part in the blood drive at the location of your choice, and don't forget your identity card!
10,000 donations a day are needed in France, including 1,700 in the Île-de-France region, to treat patients waiting for a blood transfusion.
