The Musée de la Toile de Jouy opens its doors to curious visitors this Saturday, May 23, 2026, as part of the 22nd edition of the Night of Museums. Discover the program for this cultural nocturne.

The Toile de Jouy—does that ring a bell? But do you really know what it is? Take advantage of the 22nd edition of the Nuit des Musées to get acquainted with this piece of Yvelines heritage. Head to the Toile de Jouy Museum on Saturday May 23, 2026 for an evening of offbeat discoveries.

This unusual museum reveals all the secrets behind the cotton fabrics printed in Jouy-en-Josas, from 1765 to 1843, at the Oberkampf fabric factory. The museum displays printed fabrics and all the equipment used to print them, as well as the antique designs used to create the characteristic Jouy fabrics, with their red or violet motifs on an ecru or bistre background. Today, the museum houses over 10,000 relics of this period.

The museum is also worth a visit for its architecture: located in the Château de l'Eglantine, this 19th-century building has had a chaotic history, and today displays a wide variety of styles.

The lineup for the 2026 Night of Museums at the Toile de Jouy Museum:

    Saturday, May 23, 2026 — 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM
