Nuit des Musées 2025: the program for the nocturne at the Musée GRATALOUP Chevreuse (78)

Housed in the priory of Saint-Saturnin, the Musée GRATALOUP Chevreuse is the first museum dedicated tocontemporary art in the Chevreuse valley. Housed in the ancient vaults of this 11th-century priory, the museum showcases the resolutely modern and innovative works of painter Grataloup.

Three contemporary stained-glass windows, created in collaboration with Ateliers Loire, master glassmakers in Chartres, are on display. These works perfectly symbolize the meeting of the traditional and the contemporary, the sacred and the artistic, that is to be found in this museum.

There are also large-format paintings and sound and light installations projected onto the museum walls. Paintings, sculptures, urban art, objects and drawings are regularly added to the museum's collections, thanks to temporary exhibitions highlighting contemporary artists driven by technical experimentation and invention.

For this 21st edition of the Nuit des Musées, the Musée GRATALOUP Chevreuse is opening its doors for a special nocturne on Saturday, May 17, 2025.
