Ismaël Jude's literary games resonate with the exhibition Écrire l'image.
The exhibition teaches us to read artworks without interpreting them. Similarly, in the writing workshops, what counts is not the result but the game. Participants are invited to experiment with the links between image and writing, by playing, creating and writing.
This plunge into writing is followed by an ascent to the surface to read our text and share with the other members of the group our finds, our harvest, and often our own surprise at the new image that has emerged, our astonishment at discovering what we have written.
Ismaël Jude is a writer trained in art-mediated therapy at the Centre d'Etude de l'Expression de l'Hôpital Sainte-Anne, and holds a doctorate in literature. He leads a number of creative writing workshops.
The workshops will take place in the museum rooms at the heart of the exhibition.
The Musée d'Art et d'Histoire de l'Hôpital Sainte-Anne invites you to discover the exhibition "Écrire l'Image".
Dedicated to the writings of the Sainte-Anne collection, this exhibition explores the duality, but also the complementarity, that can exist between the status of art object and the status of historical object attached to a piece of writing. Nearly 140 works by some twenty artists between 1888 and 1970 are presented.
The written word is not only handwritten in this exhibition, which offers an open section on the fusion of words and forms, giving rise to a new expressive dimension.
