The Montmartre Museum is thrilled to open its doors for the 22nd edition of the European Night of Museums.
Set in the heart of the museum’s gardens, this iconic spot on the Butte preserves and shares the neighborhood’s storied past. Visitors will enjoy free access to our permanent collection, a unique trove of paintings, posters, and drawings that bring to life the history of the hillside, its artistic workshops, and the atmosphere of its famed cabarets.

On the occasion of Europe’s Night of Museums, the Montmartre Museum taps into its history to highlight the artistic bloom that has made the district famous. Designed to be both accessible and welcoming, this program spotlights the driving force of creation in Montmartre’s cultural scene and invites audiences of all kinds to rediscover this living heritage.
The evening will unfold with exceptional artistic performances. Raphaëlle Hubin, renowned for interpreting Loïe Fuller’s serpentine dance, will lead three passages of these dreamlike movements from the early 20th century. Caricaturists will be on hand throughout the night to sketch visitors and capture the moment.
The sensory experience will be enhanced by a curated musical lineup: a vinyl bar will set the soundtrack, spanning decades from yesterday to today. Alongside the performances, attendees will be free to explore the museum’s permanent collections and the temporary exhibition “Adya & Otto van Rees. At the Heart of the Avant-Gardes,” all within a historic and enchanting setting.
