With over 1,500 rooms set in 130 hectares of parkland and gardens, the Château de Fontainebleau is the only royal and imperial château to have been continuously inhabited for seven centuries. To visit the Château de Fontainebleau is to benefit from an exceptional presentation of French history, art and architecture. Here, you'll pass through corridors that have seen the greatest princes and dukes come and go, and remain in the state in which Napoleon III and Eugenie left them!

The château's collections include some 30,000 works of art from the 16th to the 19th century, many of which can be admired in the château's historic apartments, the NapoleonI museum, the painting gallery, the furniture gallery and the Chinese museum.
