Make Music Day 2022 in Poissy: free shows on the Place de la République

This Wednesday, June 21, 2023, the city of Poissy's Fête de la musique awaits you on Place de La République with a series of free concerts mixing pop and rock, but also in various restaurants and bars. Bonus: an ephemeral art installation of the stars on the quays of the Seine.

The Fête de la Musique returns this Wednesday, June 21, 2023 to Poissy in the Yvelines , with several stages set up across the city of Saint Louis to discover the worlds of talented artists and groups. On the Place de la République, get ready to vibrate to the rhythm of pop, rock, variety and electro, while choirs and classical music resonate in the collegiate church of Notre-Dame.

Your taste buds will be dancing to the rhythms of DJs in the restaurants. At Restaurant Le Gamin de Poissy, DJ Yapi will delight the ears from 6 p.m. to midnight. At Brasserie Le Batignolle, enjoy live bandas by Kalimouchos from 8pm to 11pm. And don't miss DJ Stan 's sets at Restaurant Le Soprano from 8.30 p.m. to 0.45 a.m.

On the program for the Fête de la Musique in Poissy :

Restaurant Le Victor Hugo welcomes DJ Patrick from 6pm to midnight.
At Brasserie Le Batignolle, enjoy bandas concerts by Kalimouchos from 8pm to 11pm.
Bar La Cabane: BANDAS concerts by the Saint-Louis Orchestra from 7pm to 11pm.
DJ Stan's sets await you at Restaurant Le Soprano from 8.30pm to 12.45am.
Restaurant Le Zinc: Blues and Rock concert by Dakota Tress from 7pm to 8:30pm, followed by dancing by The Jag Band until midnight.
Kiosque Place de la République: Pop-rock covers by Laurent et Dalila from 9pm to 10pm.
Collégiale Notre-Dame: Children's choir, oboe, brass and saxophone ensemble by the Conservatoire de Musique et de Danse from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.

But that's not all: a surprise awaits you on the quays of the Seine. Here you'll find an ephemeral artistic event celebrating music in a different way, through photography. On the promenade of the Cours du 14-Juillet, opposite the Ile de Migneaux, black-and-white snapshots by Franck Stromme of the great chanson stars such as Johnny Hallyday, France Gall, Serge Gainsbourg, Christophe and Daniel Balavoine.

The exhibition is short-lived, so hurry and take a look before time and weather wash these treasures away. A total of thirteen panels await you, mainly focusing on French chanson stars.

There's also a nod to the recently deceased Tina Turner. Alongside her are other international icons such as Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury.
